Seven Churches of Revelation: 10-Day Biblical Turkey Pilgrimage

10 daysTurkey

Overview

All seven churches addressed in the Book of Revelation stand within a few hours of one another in western Turkey, and this ten-day pilgrimage visits every one: Ephesus, Smyrna, Pergamum, Thyatira, Sardis, Philadelphia and Laodicea. We read the relevant passage on site, at the place it was written to, with a guide who knows both the archaeology and the text. Add the House of the Virgin Mary, the Basilica of St John and Istanbul's early Christian heritage, and it becomes the most complete Revelation itinerary available.

Good to know

Do we get time for worship and devotions on site?
Yes. The itinerary is built around it. We time arrivals so each of the seven churches has a quiet period for reading and reflection before the day-tripper coaches arrive.

Can our own pastor lead the teaching?
Absolutely, and most groups prefer it. Our guide handles logistics and archaeology; your leader handles the teaching.

Is this suitable for older members of a congregation?
Largely yes, though Pergamum's acropolis and Sardis involve slopes and steps. We always offer a level alternative and there is no pressure to climb.
